Well, hey there.
My name’s Wes. I’m a 23 year old guy who’s just trying his best to follow Christ and lead other people to do the same thing.
I’m a part of the worship staff here. If you’re in the Northwest Indiana area, I’d love to invite you to come out and visit us sometime at the Highland Campus.
I’m a big music fan. Beyond worship, I’m a fan of some alternative, and mostly mellow music. Current favorites include Death Cab for Cutie, Copeland (so sad they will be breaking up soon), Coldplay, The Album Leaf, Sigur Ros, Explosions in the Sky, Lovedrug, Mae, American Football, The Fray, Barcelona, and the list goes on and on. If you’re looking for some good worship music, I might recommend the likes of the Robbie Seay Band, David Crowder*Band, Chris Tomlin, Charlie Hall, Matt Redman, Hillsong, Hillsong United, Matt Maher, Fee, etc.
My favorite movie is probably the Dead Poets Society. Also a big fan of Monty Python and the Holy Grail, the Bourne trilogy, and the Oceans 11 movies. Christopher Gest is a genius in my book, as well. Waiting for Guffman and Drop Dead Gorgeous are two of my favorites.
Also an avid reader, mostly theology and ministry related, though I am also a big fan of mystery like Agatha Christie and some classic lit such as To Kill a Mockingbird (Ladies, if you’re ever trying to win my affections, the gift of a first edition of “To Kill a Mockingbird” would be all you need). If pressed, I’d probably give books like Blue Like Jazz, Velvet Elvis, Simple Church, Sex God, Crazy Love, and Confessions of a Pastor as some favorites.
Huge fan of The Office, 24, and Seinfeld. I also exhibit my extreme manliness in watching home design/decor shows on HGTV whenever I have downtime.
I also enjoy having coffee, and amassing as many scarves as I can in my spare time.
